All Members and Non-Members of our volunteer-run organization
First I want to say “Thank you” very much for everybody’s hard work for the past year.
We missed all you guys, members and non-members, (Wishing for next time that we will see you there please check out the news for future activities sJ.)
L Y C C has been around since 1990, about 18 years now, and endeavours to offers a social atmosphere where the principles of the club can be realized. Over the coming year, we want the Club to meets at least monthly, for various activities, and sometimes twice monthly. As in the past, we intend to have special events, such as pot luck dinners with activities, Christmas in July, maybe a picnic, perhaps a Fun Rally, entertainments nights (like Movies, Karaoke), Yum-Cha, Dinner out or more…or short trips away from Canberra. (Visit, likes a winery) and various other activities, meeting new friends and enjoying ourselves.
Ah! one thing we talk about sport often and I am happy to support all kinds of sport. At the moment, we have regular Sport every Sunday like Tennis, a bit hard sometimes still enjoyable but we welcome new players. If you not a player you are welcome to come along to watch, have coffee or tea and chat with friends. What you think???
Now we have the tennis tournament in memory of a men who worked hard for L Y C C and shared his spirit with everybody. The ‘Terry Stocker Memorial Tennis Tournament” is coming up, and more details will follow of that. If you would like to donate a trophy, or anything else, please let Secretary Peter know. Thanks again to those who donated the perpetual trophies, and to the organisers (especially Keith-don’t tell him though J) over the past 3 years. I hope to see you there.
All I have to say probably again is that our club has been one of the most successful of its kind for members and non-members in Canberra, and we will make sure this year is a success.
